DOES LOW TACKLE SETTING HURT DIVE TACKLES?

When I have used low tackle settings under 50 nearly every dive tackle by a defender seems to fail. When I moved tackle up to 55 or 60 seems like more dive tackles are successful and more WR are tackled before they outrun the DB.
Low tackle setting may be a contributor to the over abundant pass bombs for TD. Granted the DB needs to be close enough for the dive.
