All this coaching slider confusion has got me thinking... I'm gonna attempt to see if I can make cpu-controlled players and teams play how they do in real life on default settings... for agg/con I'm only going to base it off of what the game classifies as agg/con... I'm going to get all my stats from
http://web1.ncaa.org/mfb/mainpage.jsp since they are official, take all games played into account, and have stats for non FBS schools... Credit goes to everyone who's trying to figure out coaching sliders... I just had to join in on the fray
Agg:
big hits: big hit +always go for the big hit -more missed tackles
strip ball: strip ball +higher strip ball chance -more broken tackles
zone coverage: tight zone +zone depth is shorter -higher chance to get beat deep
option defense: play QB +focus on quarterback -leave pitch man
QB contain: play QB +stop QB scramble -more open recievers
holding blocks: block longer +hold blocks longer -more holding calls
catching: make a big play +increased first tackle avoidance -more dropped passes
big run: break more tackles +higher broken tackle chance -fumble more often
tempo: hurry-up +players get set quickly -players fatigue faster
Con:
big hits: sure tackle +higher tackle chance -no big hits
strip ball: wrap up +less broken tackles -lower strip ball chance
zone coverage: loose zones +zone depth is deeper -higher chance to get beat short
option defense: play pitch man +focus on pitch man -leave QB
QB contain: play pass +cover receivers in zone -allow QB scramble
holding blocks: avoid holding +no holding calls -blocks last a shorter time
catching: focus on catch +higher catch chance -less broken tackles after catch
big run: protect ball +lower fumble chance -less broken tackles
tempo: chew clock +accelerated game clock -less time to snap the ball
Run/Pass
determined by yards
Agg/Con
determined by TOP/penalties/giveaways/takeaways
Scale(offense based on passing stats/defense based on rushing stats)= <50 run >50 pass <50 agg >50 con
I will remove all normal no huddles and change coaches respectively
