Blocked Kicks?

Does anyone know if this was addressed, or if blocked fg's or punts are now possible? I hope they added this (finally!!!), but I don't ever recall hearing anything about it...my fingers are still crossed

You can block punts as long as they're back up close to their endzone, but otherwise, you're right... no chance.

I blcoked tons of punts and fgs. Its all about timeing.

With over 1,000 games of both Madden and NCAA, and having never blocked a field goal, I highly doubt timing has anything to do with it. I've used every single player on the line, tried every player combination, and even tried using a powerhouse, USC to block field goals of the IAA teams and none of it worked. The only kicks I CAN occasionally block is a friend who's playing split screen since I can see his kick meter, but it's impossible to know when the computer is going to kick and the suctionblocking destroys any rush I do get.

i blocked some punts but it wasnt at all legit. i had to use the speed cheat and put a player with the speed over 85

i blocked fgs in 04 but again, i had to cheese

I blocked one field goal in Madden '03, but it was against my boy so I could see his kicking meter.

I also blocked about 5 punts in Madden '03, all against the Pats because of that glitch in their O-Line on punt formations. One guy on my team always had a clear path to the ball, and it was just against the Pats, very weird. I remember reading about it over at MM and that's where I found out about it.


Besides that, no dice. I stopped trying a few years ago, it's just a waste of time....

Ya it was in 04 that i vould block to think if it. The timing was reall important there. it was easy to do so i only did it if i really really needed to.
