It's not really you that they're flaming, it's the 49 other posts started complaining about the most minute details of the game. You could have the best point about facemasks, and the 49 other threads will already have cheapened you comments.

Go for it on the passing game subject. As long as you make valid points, don't state "the passing game sucks and the guys are EA are idiots" and then walk away, it would be a great thread.

sorry...i suppose sometimes it's reflexive to be annoyed at the facemask stuff...you have no idea how many times i've seen "OMG, the red sox sock color isn't the right shade of red, i'm so pissed off"...I understand wanting things perfect, but at the same point some people really take that stuff too seriously...

i mean, I'm a huge Michigan fan, but I couldn't tell you if Steve Breaston even wore a elbow pad, let alone if it was white, black, blue, pink, whatever...just not stuff I notice i guess. nice if a game gets it right, but not worth anywhere near the crying some people have made about it (you weren't bad, i'm just talking about all the experiences i've seen)....

In fact one guy on Monday said he wasn't going to use Florida, his favorite team, because the numbers on their shoulder pads were the wrong color

Has nothing to do with post count there, honestly (and from what I've seen, you're a good poster, so don't take that personally...the facemask/sock color thing has been played out many a time)

also, with graphics in general, it's the end of a console generation, they won't be totally revamping their graphics engines, any sports game, so i wouldn't hold your breath for major changes there (again, nothing personal, just how sports games work, they can't do a new engine every year due to time constraints). If they try and innovate, it's buggy (ESPN games have this to some extent, I'm a big fan, but their franchise mode was tough to play because of bugs), or they don't change the world and it's usually more stable.

Would I love drastic and stable changes every year? Hell yeah, I would. I don't really see accepting the status quo as just "settling" though, I see it more as being realistic. We're not gonna get the changes like Halo 2 and other sequals get, yearly games are a totally different animal.

What I can't stand is just the fact that all the people that are mad about this game have low post counts. That's not that surprising to me. I'm not speaking of everybody who has joined this site. I read some post earlier and they were saying that EA has done a horrible job with the game and all that stuff. The vets on here are mostly praising the game. I won't have to worry because mose of these guys won't be back anyway.

Everyone just needs to remember that all of you found OS at some point and, for a lot of you, it was during a release season. Personally, I'd rather deal with 20 asshats to get 1 solid Poster that will contribute to the OS "Community" all year long. Not to get all "Stripes" on you, but how many of you that now post year round, came to OS during the NCAA or Madden release season?????

Just put your gamertag in your profile and post in the online forums... it's nice playing against fellas you know on the boards.
