Grainy graphics?

Has anyone else noticed their graphics or resolution isn't as sharp in the game as it is in photos and what you see and can post on the Web. For example this picture I took while playing a night game doesn't look as clear while I'm playing it. This is more evident to me at night; it's as if the graphics are more cartoonish then.

I have a 1080 HDTV and am using a PS3. Is this grainy-quality of graphics just with the PS3? Last year, I played the game on the 360 and it looked better.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Re: Grainy graphics?

game looks good to me too on a 1080i, though I do get some jaggies especially with teams white on whit unis.

Check your sharpness and edge enhancement settings, play around with those a bit and see if it helps. Also the game has a video calibrator option, maybe you shoudl try that.

Re: Grainy graphics?

Not trying to start a system war, but I've noticed my 360 looks clearer and better than my ps3 on virtually every single game. I've noticed the same "grain" effect on several of my ps3 titles. I think it's just the way it outputs. Set your systems resolution to 720p as most games run natively in this for ps3.

Re: Grainy graphics?

On ps3 the game runs on 720, not 1080.

Re: Grainy graphics?

I have NCAA 09 for both systems so i can tell you how to/handle this issue.

The 360 version plays best in 720p but the PS3 version can ONLY be played in 720p so...

I would go into your PS3 display setting and go into full range rgb THEN hit off the super white as well

the ps3 version IS grainy and theres not much you can do other than making the system output a more contrasty picture.

Re: Grainy graphics?

I think the game looks great on console and on PC (screen shots and videos). Might look better on PC to you bc its much smaller
