Playbook Recommendations

Hi Community,

In my dynasty I like to use the "ask corso" feature to try and keep myself honest with play calling. I like the run the football alot and typically out of the I-form, offset I-form and ace sets. Can anyone recommend a schools playbook that is heavy in these sets yet does not have any flexbone or wishbone sets?

Any help would be appreciated

Re: Playbook Recommendations

teams that have I-form, strong, weak, and Ace formations: total added together.

Wisconsin has 17 sets
USC has 16 sets
Colorado State and UCLA has 15 sets
Iowa, North Carolina, and Syracuse have 14 sets

Army, Ball State, Duke, Fresno State, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oregon state, Pittsburgh, Stanford, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Western Michigan has 13 sets.

that should be enough to get you started.

Where did you get this info from? I'd like to see a list of all the different sets each team has.

Re: Playbook Recommendations

I see alot of people saying they use Ask Corso and quite frankly I don't see why. Don't you want to call your own plays and mix it up. I would feel like I was almost cheating if I used Ask Corso. The player should determine the effectiveness of the playcalling. But this is just my opinion.

I almost feel like the Ask Corso shouldn't even be in the game. It is kind of insult to our intelligence regarding football knowledge. I could see how you could exploit certain plays by picking them over and over but if you mix it up you shouldn't feel guilty about picking your own plays.

i think some people use it because the Ask Corse feature supposedly uses the same playcalling logic as the CPU AI. using it evens the playing field since the CPU can't adapt to you.

Re: Playbook Recommendations

All of Ohio State's playbook is either ace formations, I-Form and Shotgun. There a wide variety of the ace primarily, as well as a good amount of shotgun as well. Also a nice mix of Play Action as well

I can see your point about not being able to call your own plays but it can also be looked the other way. It can be a test of skill to make a play succesfull when you are not anticipating it. Plus if the play Corso recommends makes absolutely no sense then there are 3 other plays on that page I can choose from. This can also allow for more plays in a shorter duration of playing time, thus I use 7 minute quarters.
