Question about incoming freshmen player ratings?

What criteria go into assigning player ratings for freshmen? Is early enrollment taken into consideration? For instance Michigan has an incoming frosh QB who has olympic track speed, how is this determined?

They probably just look at what they did in drills. Someone getting a 4.3 in real life would get them a high 90 in game.

He's going to be in the Big Ten so he automatically will be docked 20 SPD points.

He has Olympic speed if he was running for China. The US puts in guys that can run sub 10 in the 100 meters.

I know. If Shoelace(Denard Robinson) isnt at least a 95 speed, UM should sue. I mean, all EA has to do is look him up. There will be tons of articles about him running record times.

Re: Question about incoming freshmen player ratings?

One comment on freshman ratings....

I believe that some freshman...and I mean SOME...as in VERY VERY FEW....should come in that first year rated as a 90 or higher.

Why?

Michael Crabtree, Carnell Williams, A.J. Greene, Julio Jones, etc.

There are high profile Freshman who come in and are immediately playing at an All Conference/All American level....not often...but you do get 2-4 "Fab Freshmen" per year that are difference makers.

I think the EA guys should recreate this in the game as well.

Again I stress....SOME guys...2-4 per year MAX.
