Sometimes, the game just says you're not going to win

11 penalties for 155 yds. 10 dropped passes (really more). 3 of 16 on 3rd down. Gave up 441 yds rushing on 46 attempts. TD runs of 46, 54, 73 & 97.

Lost 45-40.

Yes, sometimes the game does decide you're not going to win.

But you're not going to convince most people here of that.

Wow! 11 penalties? What were they? I ask because you can use gameplanning to prevent having almost any penalty called against you. I would've changed my gameplan way before I hit 11.

offsides, false start, holding, clipping, and facemasks can all be set such that you won't be called for a single one of them.

I have almost all penalties set to the maximum cause there usually aren't any called. In fact, I usually let the celebrations go over board on scores so I can get more penalties. Even w/that, the most flags I've had marked off in a season never topped 30. I think I've had 6, 7 maxed in a game.

This game only 2 of those were unsportsman flags. I had 4 facemasks, 3 holdings, & 2 false starts.

I really hate @ the end when you get "Congratulations! You've had a greatest game score of...." I'm like "congratulations???!?!? I just lost, stupid!"

Are you on the PS2 or something? I didn't think that there were unsporstmanship penalties (and certainly not for celebrating) on the 360 (and most likely PS3).

Re: Sometimes, the game just says you're not going to win

most the time for me, the game says the CPU just can't win or simply sustain a drive to score any points.

I've yet to have a game on NCAA 10(360) where I thought the CPU "cheated" to win. don't think I've ever played a NCAA game without that feeling before.

not saying NCAA 10 is great or anything(cause it's not). I just haven't had a case of "cheating" CPU yet.

I've had that happen to me once on 360. I was ULL @ Wash.
But it's usually the opposite, as Solidice said.

Aside from what others may think, I often feel like most games are predetermined before the coin toss. You just have to play it out to see which way the game is going to go.
