Great Recruiting Class:What was your best class?

I just completed my class with 10 5 stars and 12 4 star players. There was a dynasty where I got as many as 16 5 star players.

Do you actually lose any games at all by allowing yourself to recruit like that? I know that if I didn't put recruiting restrictions on myself that my A++++++ rated teams would just steamroll everyone and it wouldn't be fun for me personally.

Well there is no restrictions in real life, look at Florida's class, or USC. There may not be as many 5* players but in the game some 4* are rated higher than some 5*. I just try to fill the roster to the point where there are no more openings and go after all big recruits, not to mention the offseason is easy. I see what your talking about though, so what would be a reasonable number of 5* or 4* players for a class?

Re: Great Recruiting Class:What was your best class?

It took me a long time to get my first 5 star player, and an even longer time to break into the top 20. Last season, I was #3. Now I can get 4-5 five star players to sign during the season, where I had to offer my first five star guy promises of all american freshman, significant playing time, and a game in his state to get him to sign. I can get 4-5 star backups now if I don't put some restrictions on it. So here is what I have been doing lately: I can recruit any 4 or 5 star player for any position that has a senior starting player leaving. If the senior is not a starter, then I have to go 3 star or lower to replace him. If I end up signing a 5 star player that I don't need to replace a starting senior, then I lose on from a position I do need. For example, if I am losing a starting WR, but end up signing a 5 star HB, I can chose to not sign a 4-5 star WR that year and use the HB as a replacement. I am hoping this makes the game more fun, plus lets those really good 4 star players go somewhere where they will get more playing time. If you were a 5 star recruit, would you want to be a backup your whole career, or even the first three years?

another thing is the transferring they often do that and I let them go and they often leave early so there is balance somewhat

I put a lot of recruiting house rules on myself, but my favorite recruiting class is one where I got a 5 start QB who is a mini-tebow, and a Right DE, who I user control who was a 4 star, and is a monster in his redshirt junior season: 70 tackles, 30 tackles for a loss, 12 sacks through 11 games.

Winning/Losing doesn't effect recruiting. I've seen people with 3-9 records get top 10 classes in online dynasties.
