Re: PRIMA STRATEGY GUIDE NCAA FOOTBALL 2011

It could be worthwhile for looking at playbooks and improving various strategies, as has been mentioned already. The only reason I can think of to get a paper strategy book is if you don't have access to the internet where you want to look at a strategy guide, whether that's in your bathroom, at your office, or beside your console.

I thought this most years too, but bought it last year out of interest. There were a couple strategies (namely dealing with using Smart Route) that I didn't know about and was good insight. There were some others that were utter rubbish and a waste of money. More than anything, it was nice having a quick reference for playbooks and players that didn't require my console or computer.

EDIT: As others have said, it's at least bathroom material (laugh)

I had the guide for NCAA 2007 on the regular X-Box only because it was free with purchase of the game (Circuit City, I believe). It was pretty much useless, and I'm glad I didn't spend $15 on it.

If they had it at a closer store, I would have gotten it. I'm way too amped up for this year's game lol.

Re: PRIMA STRATEGY GUIDE NCAA FOOTBALL 2011

I remember football strategy guides basically just being a list of all the plays for each team. In other words, you could get the same info by playing "practice mode".

I got the one for Madden 09, just for poops and giggles, and it said Marques Colston was a burner

I think the line was "Hit Colston on that deep pattern, he's a real burner".

They're more of a beginner's guide.
