Re: Very strange exploit with pump fake

It looks to me like the AI records a backwards pump fake as a fumble, so everyone runs up to recover it.

Very interesting... Thanks for the info.

Hopefully EA can fix this soon!

For what it's worth, a tuner won't be able to fix this. It will require another patch.

This is the most Hilarious thisng ive ever seen i just tried it and won 104-7 online the guy wouldnt quit this is a complete joke.

As someone with some experience coding i can say patches are terrible things. patching anything opens up a host of opportunities for more glitches and bugs. One error in the code can cause a small easy fix but something like this which derives from multiple when patched can override the code elsewhere and create a bigger problem. this could be the beginning of the end for NCAA 11

I was thinking the same exact thing prior to reading your post.

Why in the world would you use this...

Let's not cry wolf just yet, Chicken Little. (Mixed fairytale metaphors, boo ya.) It really depends how complex the issues are that they're patching. EA has released multiple patches for a few years now and the games haven't disintegrated under their combined weight as of yet - in fact NCAA 10 after all three patches was a decent game.

2. Do you think there's some direct correlation or causation between the PA fix and this new problem? If so, explain your logic. One has nothing to do with the other. On top of that, the patch fixed a lot of things that needed fixing - it's not like the play action bug was the main thing it was released for.
There could be a correlation the code for these things must be close together and if the patch did something like end an instance for the QB running backwards if instance "playaction" was valid. its possible that the new code could end the instance with the pump fake facing backwards and the AI would act as if the QB had crossed the line of scrimmage... very delicate situation here they need to be very careful when they fix this lest they ruin the game completely
