With the suction gone and canned animations out, the strafe button should be your greatest ally on defense. I've been looking at these vids and see a lot of guys just overrunning plays and running right by guys. That presents some scary circumstances when you have to try and tackle in the open field.

it will take some getting used to, but I am pretty excited. Should make for some nice plays from the playmakers on both sides of the ball.

If you want to get used to the tackling in this game, then try the 2k8 demo out. You can literally run into the ball carrier in that game and not have a tackle play out.

I can't wait to go online and be able to tackle better than a lot of people the first few days/weeks.

By default, auto strafe is on.......so I doubt most people would even notice anything because auto strafe is on by default.

Previous years I tend to focus more on playing as a defensive lineman and using stunts to break up plays personally but with this new system I am excited to step back to the linebackers and focus more time with them. Their speed was always undone by that damn morphing. Yes, I will be turning the autostrafing off and then manual strafing will be necessary.

Nah, players with no skill will use the damn defensive assist button smh. I have no clue as to why they even put that in the game.

an overlooked thing that pissed me off that I hope is fixed is the instant turnaround after a pick in online games. There used to be a freeze in the action for a second allowing you to adjust. There is nothing worse than when I'm playing with FS and strafing and my LB picks off a ball but then immediately pitches it back to the other team.

You dont have to fun into the ball carrier this year with the addition of the tackle button. You just cant press it from far away. I used the strafe button anyways, so there shouldnt be that much of a change for me personally.
