Finally played a game
Just played a game. While they are fresh here are my random impressions.
Pitt vs. North Texas
1. Knobby Tires has re-upped as a stadium sponsor yet again (lol).
2. Wow, the finesse needed to throw passes is amazingly realistic. no more slinging the ball over the middle on a slant route 15 yards deep. They have that route covered.
3. The tackling animation is very realistic. The CPU actually returned a kick to midfield because I was used to my guys just magnetically making the tackle in previous NCAA titles.
4. Opposing QB is dangerous if they have scrambling ability.
5. I did see one acrobatic leap by a LB who did intercept a pass of mine. I don't mind that he got to it, but it was a ball a LB would bat down, not intercept.
6. Presentation is definitely amped up this year. Grass looks 100% more real ( played on real turf at Heinz Field).
7. There was some 3-4 second freezes - I think they are worse because I had tips enabled and it seemed to happen when they popped up.
Great game.
