Re: Statistical Look at Progression (Ongoing)

While I'm not as worried as I was. I still think coach prestige needs some major tweaking. Thanks for doing all of this Evan! Keep up the good work.

Re: Statistical Look at Progression (Ongoing)

Updated through Season 9.

Notes:
- No change in number of 99-rated players again (15).
- 7 QBs with 99-rating, down 2 from previous year.
- Biggest jump seen in 90-91 range. (+48)
- Overall PCT. of 90+ players jumped another half a percent to 5.57% -- the highest it has ever been (468 total).
- 44 K/P in 90+ category -- second highest amount in 9 seasons.
- HC with A+ prestige decreased 1 to 54. First time in 9 seasons it decreased.
- 12 A+ teams with only 1 D+ team going into season 10.

----

Pretty substantial leap in the 90-91 overall range. Most of those players are split pretty evenly between Juniors and Seniors. I did not see any sophomores.

Out of these 99 rated QB's for example. How high is there throwing accuracy and throwing power?...this will determine a lot if its just awareness making them so high or not. Thanks

300 sounds like a huge number until you look at what % that represents. I think the game ships with unrealistic rosters, and that's the problem. As we get into years 5-7 we're seeing a leveling off.

Sorry but 14 A+ teams is way too much. I would rather it be like last year where there were only a few A+ teams.

Re: Statistical Look at Progression (Ongoing)

Updated through Season 10.

Notes:
- 99-rated players increased for the first time in 4 seasons to 18.
- 11 QBs with 99-rating, up from previous year.
- Overall PCT. of 90+ players dropped a bit to 5.35%. (449)
- 41 K/P in 90+ category.
- HC with A+ prestige decreased again to 45. Biggest single season drop. (-9)
- 10 A+ teams with no D+ team going into season 10. Majority of teams in the C+ to B+ range.
- Of all 11 QB's rated 99:
- None has an awareness lower than 91
- None has throwing power lower than 85
- None has throwing accuracy lower than 92.

Keep it up this is interesting, makes me kinda want to wait on my Dynasty until another patch comes out.

Ironically, I like the balance EA has struck. Season 10 was a bit high with 18 99-rated players and 11 QB's rated 99, but in general I think if it can stay below 5.5% for players rated 90+ -- I'm happy.

Also, my initial impression was that coach prestige is overpowered, but if it can drop back to around 30-40 -- I should be OK with that. Season 10 it dropped 9, which is shocking to say the least.

Start of Season 5: 6 A+ teams, 4 D teams

Start of Season 7: 8 A+ teams, 2 D+ teams -- 15-30 C-rated teams at least.
Start of Season 8: 7 A+ teams, 2 D+ teams -- 15-30 B-rated teams at minimum.
Start of Season 9: 14 A+ teams, 1 D+ team -- 20-40 A, A-, B+ teams.
Start of Season 10: 12 A+ teams. 1 D+ team
Start of Season 11: 10 A+ teams, 0 D+ teams -- 20-40 B-, B, B+ teams

I wonder how many of the head coaches with A+ are guys who are OC's in year one with B+ or above prestige? Bama has A+, A+ and A for their coaches. Until the origianl OC's retire it won't even out. Probably need to spread out the rating some more and the coach prestige on my end.
