5 star recruits overpowered?

I'm not assuming, I'm wondering. I can tell a great player when I see one (use one), but the 78 rating not matching the play on the field is what surprised me. I assumed he'd be fast but slow to get going and no wiggle. Not the case.

Maybe I shouldn't of used the word overpowered as that made it seem like I thought something was wrong with the game.

More like I'm wondering if 5 star guys get a little "extra" boost.

Are we to the point now, where people are simply looking for things that may be "broken"? One game and a freshman has a good game, and we're looking for an issue.

Players play to their rating, simple as that.

EA mentioned something about adding "more" to the top 100 recruits in one of their videos pre-release with Ben Haumiller or whatever his name is. So I wouldn't be surprised if they juiced em up a bit.

At the same time I've had a few four stars who have been complete busts so far. All it takes is one player to be REAAAAALLY good at one particular rating category to make an impact in a game. I tend to go for those recruits rather than the all around average ones.

Lets see, 5 * & youre playing him in the slot? Sounds about right to me, nothing over powered IMO.

As your guy gets better, awareness tends to be a big bulk of the overall progression.

If he's a freak athletically, he's obviously going to make big plays, especially if you have him lined up against linebackers/bad corners.

I have to agree with this. Playing a stud in the slot position makes him that much better.

i think i got the best player you can get, He's 87ovr WR 6'6 215 92 speed. first of all i know that sounds crazy but a week before the game came out a guy post a video that had a Freshman kicker with a 87ovr and i also have got 4*'s guys who's rating are 80 to 81 and a couple 3* 78-79. but whats with all of the HB, WR, and ATH guys at the top of the recruiting boards.
