They did not decide to become D1 in 2013 in time to get in.

Next year is their transition year. They won't be eligible to win the conference champ or for post season play until the following year. Same thing with Georgia State, except they're a year behind South Alabama.

Confusing because they've been on the path to fbs since 09. And wasnt wku in when they were transitioning

I think there was a mixup in communication between S. Alabama and EA. Not sure exactly what happened, but I think S. Alabama gave EA misguided or incorrect info, and by the time it WAS corrected, it was too late to get them in the game.

I could be wrong though, but that's what I've read/heard. But it isn't EA's fault this time, lol.
