Notre Dame Fans...the helmet issue?

It's not that bad...





I think it's caused by a filter EA is using. It's just made worse when the helmets are gold. I played Oklahoma State last night and they had their flat black helmets on but at times they appeared brownish too.

What system are you using? I'm on a PS3 and mine doesn't look like those screen caps at a night game. Mine literally look mud brown. It's horrendous.

I'm on the 360.

Honestly those screen caps don't do it justice. They are actually brighter on my TV. Something about the compression used for screen caps takes a layer of shine off things.

Compared to how they look in real life.


The in game ones are pretty bad.

Honestly if they would have just gone with the same "shine" as the Shamrock series helmets but removed the "scales" on them...that woulda been pretty spot on.


It seems like the issue across all the night helmets is that they have the stadium light "reflection" setting or whatever set too low. The stadium lights don't *pop* off the helmets like they should.

On PS3 they look straight up mud brown when it's night or in the hallway tunnel. No lie.

As someone who has seen the helmets in person, I can tell you that as great as they look on television, they look 10 times better in person.

Give me a few and I'll find some pics. And, it was a night game.

i agree that they look better in person. Was at the Navy game this year with amazing seats (row 15 at the 20 yard line by the tunnel) and it was unbelievable how much better they looked, then EA does this, not acceptable. Also does it bother any other ND fans that they still use the wrong logo? They should use the same one ESPN, NBC and every other network use, which is the interlocking logo in gold with either a white or blue outline similar to this
