Why is it? (CPU Option)

Why is it that the CPU can't run the option play to save their life (mostly because of the weird glitch where the CPU HB runs way behind the QB), but if I call an option play and let the CPU take over for me, they run it with perfection?

I've seen the CPU run some successful options.. I believe qb awr has a huge amount of influence on when they pitch or keep and hitting holes.. I have also let CPU control my teams option at times and it's been hit or miss.. Don't think ive ever had an option PITCH go for a 20+ gain but keepers I've has go for nice long td's... I've also seen my players do the 10 yard backward pitch.. So who knows. Just thought I'd share my experiences. Sorry not an answer for ya

The specific problem you mentioned should be fixable but it hasn't been in the patches so far. The issue is that the pitch man's angle gets fubared when you're running an option to the short side of the field (which I never do since I know it's fubared) and the CPU runs the option to the short side a lot. All that needs to be done would be to either only have the CPU run the option to the wide side of the field (relatively easier solution) or, even better, fix the pitch man relation on options to the short side of the field.
