Army Redshirt

I'm doing a dynasty with Army, and I'm trying to keep it as realistic as possible. I do not redshirt any of my players, but even if u don't redshirt them, if they don't get any playing time throughout the season, the CPU redshirts them anyway...

I am able to get most of them a tackle on SP Teams, but getting the o-line stats won't be easy.

I have also thought about cutting players when they're JR if they have been redshirted as they have been on the team for 4 years.

Does this sound like a good idea? It's the best workaround I can think of. I really wanna make it as realistic as possible, but it's kinda hard when the CPU auto redshirts your players...Any advice is appreciated!

Not sure if its possible but you could redshirt all Freshmen?

His point is that in real life Army doesn't redshirt so he doesn't want to RS any of his guys.

Yeah I get that but if the game forces it them redshirt all freshmen then act like the sophomore year is freshman year.

You could redshirt them all at the beginning of the season then once the season starts put them in the game which would remove the redshirt. That would work and that is kind of what you were talking about I think.

Hmm, interesting. So would that make them unable to be redshirted in the future?

I'm 90% sure that they'll still RS if they don't get any stats, even if you manually RS and and removing it later by playing them.

They'd all have an extra year of progression which completely defeats the purpose.
