Re: The Official NCAA 14 Flexbone Offense Thread

Any suggestions for changes that should be made to sliders or coaching sliders? I don't actually run the flex bone, but I use a pistol/shotgun two back offense that relies mostly on triple option plays. It seems like the defense is too aggressive and never tries to force you to hand the ball off or make the QB keep it, so you get big runs on the pitch all the time.

Should I turn down the opposing defense's aggressiveness?

50/50 seems to be best for aggression. Also try lowering roughing the kicker and boosting tackle slider. Those are def pursuit sliders

What if he is not inside of the tackle?

I started playing this offense and found my backs are getting very high rushing averages. I don't want to adjust sliders since I only play CPU v CPU. They are getting long runs to the outside, which is driving up the averagea. Is this an issue for anyone else or is that realistic with type of offense? I never run the flex bone, but would like too.

Do FB dives just not work at all?

Just played first game with Navy against another user. Didn't matter the defense he was hit for no gain every time

I've noticed that when I'm playing against CPU teams and I try to run any of the FB dives that the D-line automatically pinches to the middle as soon as I break the huddle. Doesn't matter which flex formation I try to run it out of it always happens. Even when I choose a different play, and then audible to a FB dive play the D-line pinches. Every. Single. Time.

As far as against another user, I'm not sure. Maybe their D-line is just that much better than your O-line was? Or I've noticed that if you try and run it against a nose tackle with high play recognition more times than not he'll get off the block quickly and hit your FB right at the line of scrimmage.

What do you guys do when users always have back take the ball and stack the box that's recently become a problem for me in my OD

Throw the ball. If there's 8 guys in the box that means you usually have 1 on 1 coverage on the outside. Don't be afraid to open it up and throw the ball 3-4 times in a row until they back off the run
