To me, college football is about rivalry and atmosphere.

I understand that for a video game, rivalries must be incredibly difficult to translate over from real life.

But the same cannot be said for atmosphere. For whatever reason, the crowd for this generation has been neglected. I'm starting to wonder if EA went to a cemetery to get their atmosphere settings.

I say yes, simply because I spend $60 on a lot less entertaining things all the time. You could probably shop around and find the game for $10-20 cheaper than Gamestop, Best Buy, Wal Mart, Target, etc will sell it for.

It's a bargain at twice the cost IMO. Depends on your financial situation I suppose.

This game is really fun imo. I've bought NCAA every year since '02 and there has been more than enough times that the jump from year to year has seemed not warranting the price I payed for the newest one. But I feel like I've gotten my money's worth this year.

With the running game and blocking improvements the CPU in dynasty mode is a lot more fun to play against. Especially those spread option type teams. I was very skeptical about the coaching tree thing but it actually adds another level of depth in dynasty mode. I also love the new recruiting system. It's a lot more streamline and time saving compared to the old system. Once you set your recruiting board the first week you can just check each week to see who needs more points or who to drop off and it will save your points from week to week. It saves a ton of time compared to the old system by doing calls one by one. You really have more time to play the games.

I think since you have not bought the game in two years you will enjoy this year's version.

I love the game. I don't care for how easily my defense gets diced up. Offense is great. There is a mode where you can max out your team to 99 overall and spend even more money to get some guy who was good 30 years ago that my cousins can't get enough of.

The game is good from an offensive perspective, but defense is a joke.
