In my Central Michigan dynasty I've gotten GOTW on a game between me and Western Michigan (we're rivals incase you didn't know) but that was towards the end of the season and we were both in the top #25. I think I was #18 and they were #15

I think it's more a function of recruiting and super simming the majority of defensive plays (and a bit of not wanting to put restraints on recruiting when playing with your favorite team.) If you don't put restraints on recruiting, I find it almost impossible to lose a game, no matter what your sliders are.

Playing with ECU now with limitations on recruiting and it's definitely more difficult, even in an American East Division that's a bit rubbish.

One thing I find interesting is that some of you have seen GOTWs for your own team, whether it's a traditional powerhouse or a MAC or MWC school.

I've played 904 dynasty games including national championship runs @ Michigan, North Carolina, and Arizona State and I think the only GOTWs that had my team (outside of week 1 where my game is 1 of about 5) were Michigan/Notre Dame and Michigan/Minnesota. Michigan/Ohio State was never GOTW and I don't recall any with my #1 ASU or UNC squads.

Exactly, but if you play at Florida, Georgia, Ole Miss, or Alabama, you will get 3-7 GOTW's every season regardless of W-L or rankings... It's BS.
