Re: Solve your passing problems forever (no kidding) read here...

I have the quick pass off since the beginning because I can't stand it (too many years of playing without it I guess) but I'm still having problems. I think my main problem is the leading of the WRs, I just can't get it right. Last year I used to fire the ball all the time too, this year, no such luck. I'm just having to adjust to a different way.

Whats quick passing?

When your running a pass play and hike the ball, as soon as you press A to hike the ball the receiving icons immediately pop up.

With it turned off, you press A to hike the ball and your QB drops back, then you have to press A again to bring up the receiving icons, like in football games pre-2002

I run a west coast offense normally. Have to have quick passing on. Makes it much easier to be effective in the 3 step passing game.

I get the aspect of it, but why would this help complete passes. I have never messed with this and am confused. Thanks!

With quick pass on, sometimes the CPU just takes control of your QB, especially if you don't hit the joystick right after you hike it. So on occasion your QB will throw a pass really quickly when you don't tell him to, or try to scramble outta the pocket immediately and run right into the O-Line and get sacked or something stupid. When it's turned off you have 100% control of your QB. I've always had quick pass off.

ahh, ok thanks, I dont know if I want the cp to control my qb but I will try anything, I love the game but the passing/catching problem is getting to me. I don't want to hate this game with ESPN coming out soon and never give it a fair chance. Thanks for the help!

I leave quick passing on. The cpu hasn't taken control of my QB once.
