Hmm, I never noticed the ratings change at all. Wait, are you talking about just what you noticed or they actually changed in the depth chart? Because it seemed like the ratings changed during the game, but they never changed on the depth chart for me. This is in a total of 5 games without HFA on.

Yes... I got hot with Rix on the road and he went from an 89 to a 92. This was with HFA completely OFF.

It's usually at 50-60 for me... I'm also using sliders however...

Strange, maybe I just didn't look at the right time or something.

I'm using sliders as well, who's are you using? I've been using Njkroc's V4 heisman sliders and have been getting good games, just trying to find a way to raise that computer completion %.

Anyway, I just played the most AMAZING game with HFA on, screen shake off:

As you can see, I hit 50%, and Berlin was a little over 50%. I took an early lead when Rix got hot (He hit Thorpe on a 31 yd TD pass... it was GORGEOUS) by 10. Then, they scored all 21 of their points in the 2nd Qtr. I got a TD late to make it 17-21 at the half.

So the entire second half is a defensive struggle. I manage to keep stopping them, and caught an INT and lucky break on a fumble. I hit a FG in the third to get it to 20-21.

So here comes the fourth... They missed a FG. I had two drives that ended in both a fumble and a pick... so I finally stop them with 2:05 left. From here, I'm running a few quickouts and driving up the field until around the 50 yd line where I was stopped, sacked, then stopped. So 4th and 18 I hit my number 3 receiver for a first and my comeback stays alive! Then I hit my TE to get me to about their 29. I'm still nervous, b/c I crack under pressure on tense FG's... so I start running the ball with Washington to get towards the center of the field... and he busts a 4 yrd and a 9 yrd run to get me closer... so with 2 secs left, I call a T.O., set up for a game-winning FG and HIT IT! FSU over Miami in my 'chise opener.

Wow... that's all I can say after that game... wow...

So, too make a long story short... at least turn off screen shake on HFA!

I really do think there is something to the ps2 v xbox drops thingy. I am now playing the ps2 version solely and having zero problem with drops. I am in year 2 now and through 15+ games I am completeing around 58% of my passes and drops are not a problem at all on AA with default passing sliders for me.

This is my most important thing! -You CAN keep HFA ON, and you will still get the crazy atmosphere... but as long as you have Screen Shake OFF, then you won't get the crazy amount of drops/poor QB %'s. You're not going to have REALLY high QB %'s for the CPU, but they WILL be at least in the 50-60% range! Trust me... THIS is the way to go... at least turn off screen shake, for some unknown reason it makes a world of difference...
