How many points RU dedicating to recruits

I have been trying to land close to 20 recruits to build my depth
(I'm Nebraska) but no one wants to come. I understand the pitch process and I make sure to change it accordingly. However I am not sure how many points per pitch. Any help would be appreciated.

From my experience it makes no difference. After going 5-6 with UConn in my first year (I was hit bad by injuries, I don't suck ), and getting put on 2 years probation for some stupid crap, I still landed the #1 and #2 defensive ends in the nation using the mininum recruiting points allowed each week on them. Also a 78 ovr "athlete" who has 87 for THP and 85 for THA and 85 for speed, he's insanley good, but he's from CT so that helped get him.

One DE was from New Hampshire and the other from New Jerz, so maybe location had a big part in them signing with me, who knows.

What is mininum recruiting points? For example the max points you could use is 15 points. So the mininum is just 1 point?

Lets say you're USC(in Cali)

in state guy- 1 to 15 possible points - if you guess the right pitch and you're in his top 3 you can get him with 1 point- 7 makes it almost a lock.


East Coast guy- 4 to 60 possible points- You get the pitch wrong until week 5-you're very low on his list he probably won't give you the time of day for under 20, He MAY still blow you off with a five week barage of 60 points(not likely thou)

If a kid list you Top 3 10-20 points gets you almost anyone, 1-10 for in state guys.

In my opinion this is the pecking order of what gets kids to come to you school


1. high prestige/winning big (2 losses or less BCS bowl win)

2. location, location, location

3. needing players at their position

4. having players win awards at their position

5. Heavily Recruiting them(tossing a lot of points at them)
