I bought this game after hearing the hype for years, I was excited to try out the custom rosters, but my laptop will not recognize the Hard Drive. I have an official Microsoft transfer cable and a 120 GB hard drive that works on my 360. When I connect the transfer cable by itself my laptop picks it up as a USB device, but when I connect the hard drive, my device manager starts freaking out and I eventually get a "USB device malfunctioned error". Xport/FatXplorer/Xplorer 360 etc. aren't finding any drives. If anybody knows what I might be doing wrong, please let me know, I've been wanting to play this game with custom rosters forever.

I cant help on that specific problem but is your PC good for playing games? If so you could go the PCSX2 route and play on your PC.

Yeah it runs older games (like 360/PS3 era) fine, so I'm guessing that could work, I'll give it a shot.
