Hopefully the guys @ OS and Bryan @ PP can get some answers next week on how things are shaping up.

Wow, I'm surprised that it took almost 10 posts to get through the huggy-feely stuff and no one's posted that they have said flat out that if you're doing well, they will go outside the code to screw your team over...

The producer says (right after the Ronde Barber section)

"a suprise thing.. so if you're doing really well you might get a notification that hey, your player broke a finger barbecuing in the back yard."

At least they're being honest that they're screwing over teams.

Hopefully there isn't an over abundance of what SirFozzie is saying..yes these types of injuries do happen outside of the game but they have to be carefully managed by the coders - so they're not too common...if they are then it will detract from the realism aspect of the title.

I didn't take it that way. I could see where you might think that, but I think what he was saying that things could be going along smoothly and you could be taking good care of your players and boom out of nowhere an off the field injury occurs.

OOTP baseball does the same thing.

This type of injury is fine as it happens - it just needs to be controlled by EA in the coding so it doesn't occur too often..if it's handled like OOTP then that'll be fine with me....
