Slybelle:

If you're out of timeouts the offense will keep calling the same play? You have no override on this or can you call a play?

As best as I can see, you will have to keep running the same play until you complete a play that stops the clock (i.e. out of bounds, incompletion, etc.). You can only make some minor adjustments to the play like being able to flip its direction if it is a running play and you can call a hot route for a different receiver. The problem really comes in when you start with a running play and want to switch over to a passing play. If you started with a passing play, you do have some minor options of th hot routes, but sometimes that is not enough either.

Yeah, that's a big problem if you started with a running play. You would need to hope the HB runs out of bounds. I really hope there is some shut off for this 2 minute drill.

Atleast the injury was a random event.

Some info about 2-minute drill:

Just some brief mention wishing they could have made it better. Not sure if exactly related or not.

You are exactly correct here with this post. Josh addressed the issue a few days back.

It was something that slipped thru the cracks during the design process to be perfectly honest, we feel awful about not doing much more with the 2 minute drill aspect of gameday.

The workaround is to use your timeouts here if you want to change up the play during the 2 minute drill. A crappy workaround I'll admit, but it gets job done.

The answer is simple, really. Just use the in-game play creator.

I have the CE and so far am actually enjoying both games. That being said, I think EA has some awful QA and testers. Seriously, year after year some pretty major issue "slips through the cracks".

I'd actually like to front the blame for this one and help QA out here, this particular issue was a design call we had to make late in the project, not a huge bug QA missed. It is an area of the game we wish we would have spent more time and focus on for sure, and moving forward, it will certainly be addressed if/when another Head Coach is made.

Glad to hear you are enjoying both Madden and HC with the CE.
