select it and click IGNORE so you won't work on a new contract

it's what i do to deal with players i don't want to resign, lol

I still think it's odd that after making a single offer to a rookie, he leaves negotiations and the only way to sign him is to go to the clipboard, delegate contracts to the GM, press B the next time negotiations begin, then go back to the clipboard, remove the delegate so you can negotiate again. If that's not a screwy way to sign a player I don't know what is.

Actually, it's unrealistic for a HC to negotiate a dozen contracts a year. No need for a GM.

Happened to me in year one when a backup C came up for contract signing during the regular season. The first two times I had to sit and wait for the 60 seconds to pass. Then for some reason the third time there was one choice in there. I picked it and he signed.

Has to be a bug.
