Monday Morning... still no patch?

For the record, Madden patch 1, and both NCAA patches have come out late night/early morning AFTER the official released date.

Nothing yet for HC or Madden. My guess is they will be released later tonight. I won't be playing until after the Jets game tonight anyways.

Madden patch will be out for sure by tomorrow us in the US.

HC on the other hand has been silent. A far cry from what it was last Friday. Josh said he would check with his boss when he came into work, and I'm pretty sure that has come and gone long ago, since they work in FL and it's not nearly 6pm there.

Either his boss didn't come to work today, which I'm guessing doesn't help the situation, or we are not going to be seeing a patch any time soon. Not surprised...another let down.

That reaction is why most software people don't ever give you an exact date for a release. As soon as they set your expectation if anything goes wrong you're going to be upset. If they force something out too soon and more bugs are introduced or it doesn't work as they thought you're upset. It's really a no win for them...and giving them negative feedback when they DO try to interact with you is a good way to teach them the error of their ways.

From what I've seen Josh is proud of this game and has tried to keep communication going. Punch him in the nose enough and he'll stop though.

No, we are not punching him in the nose, we are just asking him to keep his word and give us some kinda update that he said he would give us. And, to be completely honest, Josh got himself into this situation about the patch by jumping the gun on friday and posting it would be out Saturday morning. He got everyones hopes up and then let us down. All we want is an ETA.... something so we won't keep sitting here in the dark and not knowing when we are getting a patch that is far over due.

Since I work for a software company that does releases as well, I'm confident in saying.. "YOU SIR, ARE CORRECT!" I could not have said any of this better.

He did provide us with an update after that post this morning. He said he hasn't heard and when he does he'll let us know. The patch is still coming a week sooner than his original prediction. Cut the guy some slack, he's been exceptional so far.
