I don't have internet at the house, (darn country area), is there anyway to download the patch to a usb drive to install it to the ps3? Much appreciation for any help.

I am not sure. Can you take your PS3 to a location that has internet? I know lugging that 25 pound box to get patches is a pain but sometimes it is needed....

I found lugging the 360 was more cumbersome (power brick was the ice breaker). Is the patch for PS3 up now (have been dealing with madden so I'm out of the HC loop)?

Yes the PS3 patch is up now. As far as I know there is now way to get the patch other then downloading it directly from your ps3. As an above poster stated try to see if a friend or family member will let you bring it over and connect it there.
