Shaun Rogers OVR at 78?

Every time I play HC I always want to rebuild the browns and make them at least a playoff contender but I never have enough cap room to make the browns D better than it has been. Mainly because of Shaun Rogers 78 ovr and huge contract. And I ask why in the heck did they give him such a low ovr for such a big contract? The browns wouldn't have traded with the lions and signed him to that contract if he wasn't going to be a pro bowler. And does anybody have any ideas on how to get rid of him?

I've seen his OVA in the 80s depending on the philosophy. Which one do you use? If it's one-gap, sometimes the OVA is a lot lower.

the game really underrated some players like shaun rogers, while overratingothers like(ill use the Browns again) derek anderson

if the devs can release one more roster update basically taking into account the last seasons results to change the player ratings imo it would be perfect

This

Rogers is a beast IRL and IMO is one of the top DTs in the league. Its sad to hear how poorly they rated him.

Rogers is hugely underrated in this game. In detroit he was a beast even if he took plays off and I am pretty sure he led detroit in sacks. I am pretty sure last year from the NT position he led cleveland in sacks which is pretty impressive. He is probably among the top 2 or 3 most athletic 350 pounders in the league and is a flat out beast.

Re: Shaun Rogers OVR at 78?

He was way too inconsistent with the Lions
Bear in mind anything he did this season was after this game

Re: Shaun Rogers OVR at 78?

going into that season 3 of the 4 previous years he had at least 4 sacks including 7(3rd among DTs) the previous year. Oh, and the only year he had less than 4 was due to missing 10 games and he still had 3 in the 6 he played. He may take plays off but that is a stamina thing, not an ability thing. before last year he was actually year in and year out better than haynesworth in terms of sacks and looked to be similar in tackles as well and look how albert is rated.
