The Quincy Sims (English 2011) Draft Sheet

Like my recently posted sheet for the Flash Gorden (English 2010) draft, this is my shot at an overview of the English path 2011 draft. All potentials listed are for Balanced philosophy. Not every player is listed, but I'm confident that 90+% of the players you would want to draft are included. (I'm a little more confident on this one - my GM got Draft Intuition & the Pro Day potential skill this year.) If you feel like editing & expanding on the inclusions, please be my guest & repost, giving credit where credit is due.

Note the column of Knucklehead: this denotes players whose personalities may make it difficult to reach agreements on contracts or may prove otherwise disruptive to team chemistry.

If folks like this format, I'll endeavor to do the same for future English drafts as well. Let me know.

Going in I was loaded with picks and wanted to move up for Quincy. Unfortunately, apparently my three firsts weren't good enough or I didn't have valuable enough players on the block, as I could never make it up high enough for the godly Sims. I also just missed adding Bowers as well, although he was more of a luxury target. I bet their Miami team looked like some from earlier this decade!

I did, though, use all those picks to load up on talent. Looking at your list, I remember grabbing my second Boma brother, Egypt Jones, QuSean Mack (as well as a Marvin Harrison comp WR) for my Run and Shoot, and the pride of my class Kibo Bakari. The few slight depth holes I had dissapeared overnight.

I'll post my franchise's version in its own thread shortly, but I'll start off by saying that Quincy didn't actually go first-overall, and I probably could have had a shot at him if I'd felt like it. Except for those occasions in which Al Davis's biases actually line up with an elite prospect.

During one of my chises, they did the Raiders thing and grabbed bust RB AJ Bishop at #2. I figured that with their cap situation they were sunk for good. Next year they continue to suck, to no one's surprise, and end up at #2 again. This time, however, there's a QB with a laser arm sitting there for them to replace the recently released Russell. Al Davis selects Alex Hurst and instantly turns the Raiders into a team that's contended for the playoffs more often than not.

Ebongreen, I'm having trouble opening your file, I can save the ziped folder and get the Excel worksheet inside, but when i try to open the workbook, it says its in an unrecognized format and displays a bunch of strange symbols when the workbook opens. What excel format are you using?

It's not fancy, Cmarett - just old-school .xls. I just downloaded and opened it on my Mac fine, translating it into Apple's Numbers app. What app are you using to read it?
