Trading Away Top 5 Picks

If you had a top 5 pick and were deciding between a player or trading away/down the pick, what would you accept in a trade for a top 5 pick?

If I was trading down, I'd want a first round pick, second round pick, and a third round pick. That might be a bit greedy, though.

I must be more greedy. I was thinking two 1sts and another pick. Or a 1st and two 2nds

I think the offers weigh in the trading partners philosophy, the players available, and your GM's trade negotiation skills. I like to trade down always, but hopefully to a team in the top ten(contracts seem to go down after 6) and still get their 1 next year.

At the most 2 first round picks (1 next year). At the least one first, one second, one third. I guess if I was only moving down 1-2 spots I would settle for just getting an extra second.

Re: Trading Away Top 5 Picks

It would depend on the player they offer and their pick. If it fit a need and their pick was say #15 or so I might do it as long as there was another pick (at least a 2nd rounder) offered as well.
