How many stats/players never develop?

I'll give you one: Press for defensive backs. In my several Packers franchises - all of which I call play-by-play, no super-sim - I've never seen a player gain a single point in Press, and I play man-press all the frakkin' time. Tell me I'm not alone in observing this.

A broader issue is kicker/punter development. I can draft superbly-talented K/Ps and despite lots of work (at least for the kicker on PATs & kickoffs), development is glacially slow if it happens at all. Those of you blessed with spectacular special teams coordinators - do these guys actually become players for you? What's the secret?

Any other stats or players that never seem to change, no matter what you do? List'em here.

Acceleration never changes from the time you draft a player. It's the 1 attribute that is unaffected by Motivator.

I've noticed kickers/punters don't develop as well.

Does it matter what STC you have? Mike Stock of the Packers isn't the Bills' Bobby April or Bruce DeHaven of the Seahawks... I've wondered if those teams have better/best luck developing K/Ps.

In my current Bills career my kicker doesn't seem to be developing too quickly, even with Bobby April coaching.

True. I think it also has to do with...there is no training for special teams, other than the preseason.

Ya know, discovering stuff like this... if I were a playtester and this wasn't fixed pre-release or in a patch, it would drive me batsh!t.

As someone who loves the game anyway, it's just highly annoying. Gah.

But honestly kickers really don't get much better than when they come out of college in real life
