Formation Subs

Is there any way to use formation subs (e.g. like in Madden 08)???

On offense, I'd like to put my #1 WR in the slot (usually the #3 WR spot) in 3/4 WR sets. On defense, I'd like to put my ROLB (Terrell Suggs) in as a RE to the dime package. It would also be nice for spreading guys like Reggie Bush all over the field in different formations.

I play my games in Super-Sim mode.

Re: Formation Subs

there is a way to do it (dunno if it works supersim, but it works if you play games) you can either use play editor and make the switch, or you have hit square (ps3) and then you can make personell changes

Re: Formation Subs

There isn't formation subs, but if you edit the play and move players how you wnat them, when you call that play again those players will be were you put them unless one or more is subbed out for fatigue.

Re: Formation Subs

You can sub players at every position for a given play by hitting square at the play selection screen (PS3). I believe it will maintain that substitution for the rest of the game; I'm unsure if it saves that substitution across games.

Just to clarify this answer, because I did notice this when editing the positions in a created play...when you go into the depth chart you are essentially picking the "depth chart" position for that player, correct?
Not the actual "player"?

In other words, if you choose to run with a QB2 in a specific set, it's the "position" not the player? That way, if you change the depth chart (or use the play next season and that QB might not be there anymore, the QB2 is still valid?
