Crazy Super Bowl Teams

Just finished my first season with the Cowboys and I saw that the Lions (11-5) beat the Jaguars (8-8) in the Super Bowl. Has anyone else seen such unlikely teams play in the Super Bowl in the first year?

The Lions were 7-9 in 2007, and NFLHC doesn't know they were really 0-16 in 2008. As for the 11-5 vs. 8-8 part, I haven't.

The 49ers made it to the playoffs in one of my franchises. It was the 1st season and they did it Seahawks-style, with a 8-8 record. They beat the Cowboys AND Buccaneers.

I was the Bills and managed to take them all the way to the Super Bowl. And of course, I embarrassed them and showed them why they never deserved to go to the Super Bowl

This is true but still detroit is often a 1 or 2 win team the 1st year of a career on there

I was the Lions and played the Jags in the Superbowl. I also played the Bengals once.

I think they assumed that the Lions wouldn't go from near .500 to .000. No one thought that actually.

I have often seen detroit picking top 5 the next year when I don't play as them. Them, carolina, baltimore, and oakland constantly seem to be in that position

Initial season i simulated to get to the 09 offseason quicker... the Bills (15-1) lost to the Cardinals (8-8) who fired coach wisenhunt in the superbowl
