Viewing OPP Depth Chart when In-Game?

Quick question when in-game and viewing the depth chart of the opposition. Are you viewing them (specifically the OVR) under "your" stated philosophy?

In other words, if you have stated "Strong/Tools QB" and/or "Vertical Passing" philosophies, when you view the opposing QB, with the eye to seeing how he might fit into your team philosophy (or even his b/up) are you viewing him in that way? As opposed to seeing the OVR under their philosophy?

Re: Viewing OPP Depth Chart when In-Game?

ooh thats a good question

only way to test is with a test file say 3 weeks into the season
pick a sub 90 young qb at a team with a different position philosophy and it would have to be 2008
where you know the philosophies. then check their depth chart/roster ratings and then trade for that player
for whatever it takes
ideally a player/position where diferent philosophy produces bug actual/pot difference

Yes, you're viewing him under your philosophy. I did a quick test, the overall of the player on depth chart changes if you change philosophies. For example, Cutler on depth chart changed from 87 to 86 after I changed from Balanced to Mobile. Teams will still evaluate players under their philosophies however.
