HC 06 drafted rookies

Hi. Entering my 3rd season, i just got off the draft into training camp, where i had 8 keys to victory, to boost everyone to max, but i noticed, that my drafted rookies stay on their low no matter what i do. I drafted a WR in 1st rd, 62-86 range, i got into wr vs db training, i scored with him 5+ TDs and he just stayed at 62 :S .. this is for all rookies...

What should i do?? :S

e: This is a pc game btw.

Ok, i just checked. I signed 2 FAs, so it doesnt only affect drafted rookies.

Im in 3rd season, what could be wrong with this? :S

I didn't know people still played the old PC head coach game anymore.

I agree but I think it had to do with the coaching staff. I haven't played the game in a long time but I remember the coaching staff had a LOT to do with progression. Might also be a glitch with your current career.

i still play it. there are rookies that dont develop at all during training camp, preseason and the season. even using sim 0 injuries and full pad practice 100%. whether this is because of philosophy, the rookie being a bust or the staff dont click with the rookie.
this happens to other teams as well. any rookie (any player in fact) that has zero movement between current minimum and max potential at the end of tc is likely to be a bust

This happened to alot of my franchises and really pissed me off!

The only thing ive done that stopped this (and im still crossing my fingers) is... i stopped negotiating coaches and players contracts. Whatever length of years and money they want i jjst agree to it. (Theres no cap penalties in 06 anyways).

So far, that didnt happen anymore....
