Complaints about Playing Time?!

I had injury issues at RT and picked up a useful young sub. Good Deal, he has a 91 potential and wants to negotiate while his OVL is still 83! my current RT, Jordan Gross, is starting to show his age and only has two years on his contract!

So I played this guy at RT for two weeks until Gross came back. Then I moved him to LT (without changing his position) intending to let him finish the season there. After three weeks and 150+ DP he starts squawking about playing time!

I'm now up to 6 weeks with him playing full time and he still isn't happy! What gives? Will anything bad happen? I've already signed him to a long term, cheap contract.

Re: Complaints about Playing Time?!

Why not change his position to left tackle. Maybe then he wouldn't complain.

Re: Complaints about Playing Time?!

It's personality related. As long as you have him signed him long term nothing bad should happen-unless he were to demand a trade. In that case, you might have to trade or release him.

Is he listed as the starter at left tackle on your depth chart?

Re: Complaints about Playing Time?!

He was listed as the starter at LT when he started complaining. I've since moved him the the starter at RT on the depth chart and he's still unhappy about playing time according to the status screen. And he's averaging over 50 plays per game for 7 games since I signed him.

Some people just aren't happy!

Re: Complaints about Playing Time?!

That's strange. Most of the time players with high overalls and potentials only complain when they aren't starting. It even happens when they haven't been starting because of injury. When I asked about your depth chart, I'm asking about your depth chart during the week. I think that makes a difference even if they get the start on Sundays. What's his personality?

Re: Complaints about Playing Time?!

I haven't had that with a Offensive Tackle yet, but I know running a 3-4 or 3-3-5 the second middle linebacker and second saftey will complain as well, because it dosen't register that they are starting...

Try moving his position to left tackle and maybe the next year he will stop whinning, also u may need to remove as 2 or 3 on the right side... But no he shouldn't give u promblems since u have already signed him long term...
