Kansas City Chiefs Official 2007 Thread: The Road to Mediocrity

Chef fans unite. Another year of mediocrity and disappointment? What is there to be excited about? Will they bring in the receiving playmaker they need? Will the youth movement mean waiting around 2-3-4 years for the next playoff appearance and first round dismissal? Somebody give me a hug.

I have to admit I have shared the same thoughts over the past few weeks.

KC's offensive line and defensive line is in shambles, the secondary is another year older, and they will more than likely have an inexperienced young QB running the show. And LJ will probably not be happy with any contract extension offer and will bolt after this season.

It's like the 80's all over again. I think I need a hug too.

I think we will be alright. I can't wait to see Damon or Brody actually have some WR's to throw to. Donnie coming back home was a blessing too. I think we can make a run, but our schedule sucks. 3 out of 4 on the road to start, and end the season. That's terrible!!! GO CHIEFS!!!!!!!!!!

I can't find anything on Casey Printers. The Chiefs still have Green (I'm assuming he will be traded), Huard, and Croyle. It's looking like unless there's an injury, there's no chance Printers will even be the backup QB this season.

Watch out for Kolby Smith. All the news articles and whatnot say he's the next Kimble Anders but, from I saw of him at Louisville, his game is much more similar to that of Priest.

I spoke to Kevin Sampson the other night (I work at Blockbuster, he watched alot of movies during rehab), and, much like what Herm , he said that the team wasn't a team yet - he's just looking out for himself right now. Actually stood there talking to me about soccer for a good 10 minutes and said he might hook me up with some Chiefs tickets next time he was in.

I was going to watch it, but Kornheiser scared me away before the game even started. I liked him better last year when he didn't talk.
