I like the thought of trading down with the Pats. This team has a lot of holes to fill and they already have a lot of money tied up in the last two high draft picks.

With 21, 32, and the Lions 2nd round pick they could be looking at 3 nice pickups. Maybe take Vilma then a Running Back, a Reciever, or OL depending how FA goes.

It's not just those 2 first-round picks being offered in the Patriots proposal. An additional lower-round choice (likely a 3rd or 4th rounder) would also be included.

And not only that... there are also other teams that are said to be in the mix with trading multiple picks and/or veteran players to the Lions for their #6 pick. This is great news since it's clear that the Lions got the attention of the entire league now with their idea of trading down.

NOO! Niners made an offer on the table that Plummer reportly likes, but he wants to get closer to home what I hear. So who knows.

Re: Lions\' War Room

Robert Porcher took a paycut to come back and sign with the Lions for one more year, which I think is cool. He feels he can still contribute and couldn't imagine playing on another team. Porcher deserves to play his whole career as a Lion. But with that said, I hope Porcher is used as a situational pass rusher/run-stopper now because he was a far less effective player as an every-down lineman.

Re-signing James Hall is really good news. The Lions would've been woefully thin at the DE position had he left. With Porcher and Hall in the fold along with Cory Redding, now it's up to Kalimba Edwards to step up his level of play and our d-line will be set.

And I haven't heard much about Damon Sidney other than him being a good special teams guy. I guess we'll find out soon enough on what else he brings to the team.

Re: Lions\' War Room

Daryl Jackson got in last night and will join Plummer and Woody at this morning's meetings.

Bill Ford Jr. is being quoted as using the old car salesman line of "don't let 'em leave the showroom!" They would like to sign all three of these guys today before they leave Allen Park.

While Washington's off-season has been darn impressive, if Detroit brings in all three of these players and moves out of the #6 for New England's picks (21 & 32) this can become a very talented young team instantly and would have to be considered an "A" offseason!

Only other rumor I am hearing right now is that, if Jackson signs on, look for Az Hakim to potentially be a June 1st cut.

I thought Woody was about to sign with Buffalo.

They are trying to convince him to skip his trip to Buffalo and sign today.

Re: Lions\' War Room

1130 is reporting that Darrell Jackson arrived last night alone...however, is Agent is with him this morning in Allen Park.

That's a nice #2 Receiver who got a bad rep of having "dropsies" for a bad three game stretch. I think he still had like 67 cathes for 1100+ yeards. That's a nice per catch average.
