NHL2K23 (for NHL2K8) Roster for XBOX 360

Here it is fellow 2K Sports fans! My 22-23 NHL2K23 roster for the XBOX 360 complete with minor players. Also, with scratched players where appropriate.


Shout out to Austrian Red Wing again this year as I used his roster for the base for my 21-22 roster that I posted for NHL2K8. My amended version of his 21-22 roster served as my base for my updated 22-23 roster. Kudos to him!!


Note that sometimes when a team's roster only lists one LW or RW and the rest of the forwards as Centers, you have to assign them to either LW or RW to avoid them from not showing up when setting the lines within the "Edit Lines" function.


I did my best to get the data and gear right for every player again. I created many new players because I wanted them to look right face-wise as well. I also tweaked the Seattle, Vegas and Winnipeg uniforms to look as close as possible to the real NHL uniforms. Of course, if you want to change anything (e.g. player’s ratings, gear, etc.) feel free and have fun! I did my best to keep the ratings according to how they’ve played on each respective team.


This game is still so much better than EA's NHL22 or 23 it's sad! A 15-year-old game is STILL better than what EA is rehashing every year. Please come back 2K Sports! Can you imagine what the NBA2K23 equivalent of a NHL game from them would look like? OK, I'll stop my wishing from a soapbox now. Enjoy!!


INSTRUCTIONS for using my file:


Use the Windows Horizon program to inject my roster file (after unzipping it) into a NHL2K8 roster/game save file named “NHL2K23” that you've saved on a USB drive from your XBOX 360 to enjoy my efforts! Be well and go play 2K Hockey! NHL2K23 lives on!! Cheers!

Well, I guess it would be similar to EA's games then, only EA's NHL game would still be a virtual hockey card store with a crappy game attached as opposed to what 2K would release. Even if 2K included a micro-transaction component, I'm confident that it would be part of a game that actually played like a real game of hockey and wasn't filled with glitches, bugs and rehashed garbage year after year (since at least 2014 for EA). Finally, it would have features that customers and fans actually asked for (versus being ignored year after year by EA within their own Forum). The bottom line is that consumers have suffered since EA became the only game in town for the NHL AND NFL games. Monopolies are never a good thing (beyond a board game). Just a PSA: The Create Team function actually let's you use real RGB values for colors. This allows you to give Vegas and Seattle their real colors if you desire.

Can confirm this, I used to update the uniform colours for one of the rosters updates here. Works like a charm.
