By "unpack" he probably means to extract the ROS/DAT file from the ZIP (or RAR) file first. There are different instructions here:

Anybody interested into 2K8 2021/22 rosters?? I would share mine ( maybe create a few more rookies, not perfect), if you want em. Maybe someone could pick em up and continue the work. Let me know guys...

I'd love that. I've given up on 2k10 so I'd be thrilled to have a playable option for 2k8. And made by you, they'd be amazing for sure.

I say go for it! Any roster for an older game, in any shape, is worth it. May just find a copy and try it myself!

2K8 and 2K5 are the best all around 2K games that people are willing to make a roster for. I agree, make it.

Alright, I will create the best rookies, maybe control all the transactions one more time and share the rosters maybe tomorrow. Don't have much time ( spending the whole day with my son) so don't be too strict. The set is not perfect but it works pretty well. Maybe someone to pick up and continue. Would be great

Just downloaded this and want to use it for RPCS3. I put the file in the proper save folder but my game freezes before hitting the main menu every time. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
