It's no problem at all, you can ask anything you want. I just would prefer to direct discussion about 2K10 to threads that other people with an interest in 2K10 are more likely to see. Even if the question is for me, I can answer it there.

"Dissociate name pronunciations" doesn't only wipe the commentary for every player, it also "unlocks" the commentary so that the commentators will react when you change their names. It actually fixes a glitch that existed in all of the 2K games in which commentators always call certain players by their original name, even if you change their name.

(For example, if you go to the default rosters and change Ryan Getzlaf's name, then play a game with the Ducks, you'll notice that the commentator still calls him Getzlaf. If you run "dissociate name pronunciations" before you edit his name in the game, the commentator will pronunce the new name instead of the old one.)

(Sorry for the double-post, but this answer will probably help others more in this thread.)

Ohhh!! Is that a known thing? Because I have the same issue in 2K5! You remove the photo, you remove the name, you apply a new name, and STILL they call him by the original name. This tool would be really clutch in te 2K5 editor.

No no, you're absolutely right to have put it here, sorry to have put it in the other less relevant thread.

Re: NHL 2K8 Editor (Snowdrift)

New version of the editor (v0.3) out; see updated links in the first post.

New feature:
For those who use the created teams a lot, I added a new action in the Batch menu that will swap the rosters of two teams in one click, so you don't have to transfer players one-by-one. To use the feature, go to "Batch", "Mass transfer", "Swap rosters". (This action works not only for created teams, but for any pair of teams.)

Note that the "Mass removal" sub-menu has also been re-categorized under "Mass transfer" in the Batch menu.

Bug fixes:
- Fixed a major bug where players in the minors on certain teams could not be transferred to other teams.
- Fixed a bug that was preventing the "Fix Duplicate Signings" action from doing its job on Roster files.

Let me know if you run into other bugs.

Re: NHL 2K8 Editor (Snowdrift)

Some questions:
1. Any way to get statuses applied to a batch of players on the same roster? As in, highlight 18 players, set all to "dressed"?
2. Can the "Change heads" options show us currently which head is chosen? And can the images maybe be made larger? Even if it's as an attachment PDF we can refer to?

Not in the current version. "Auto-assign lines" in the Lines editor can at least save you the step of creating line combinations, though.

Neither is currently possible, but making the images bigger is something I've already thought about adding. Maybe in a future version.
