Your favorite GBA games?

I've decided I'm going to break down and get a GBA SP, which will be the first handheld I've bought since the original gameboy came out. I'm thinking I'll buy Mario Kart Super Curcuit and Super Mario World. Are there any must have games for GBA that I should also pick up, or pick up instead of these titles?

1. Advance Wars
2. Advance Wars
3. Advance Wars

Trust me I had it with my first GBA and it is the best game on the GBA.

If you want a good sports game Virtua Tennis is a pretty good game and only $15 new.

Then there are Metroid Fusion and Zelda a Link to the past. Zelda is a rehash of the SNES game so if you don't want to repeat something hold off on that one.

Some others are Castlevania: Circle of the Moon and if you want and RPG Golden Sun.

I don't have a GBA yet but I will soon purchase a SP so I can hang out with the other cool folks here.

I would like to see a Tecmo Bowl game for it - i bet that would rock!

That's the exact title I was waiting for to sell me on GBA, but their new cool looking design will get me instead. Hopefully they'll make once, since that'd be the perfect platform for a sequel. Until then I don't know that I'll bother getting any sports games for it.

Sports:

Baseball Advance is a fun game, the Fifa/NHL games take you back to the Genesis days. Plus the Tony Hawk games are good.

Metroid Fusion, Tony Hawk 3 and 4, Advance Wars (must have!), rehashes of the old Zelda games, Baseball Advance, Madden 2003 (like the old school games), Fire Pro Wrestling 1 & 2 if you are into wrestling, and many more.

Re: Your favorite GBA games?

Baseball Advance gets my vote, at least while I'm talking on this forum. It is a TIGHTLY made game with a great interface. It tracks your stats for the season and gives you great access during the game to player abilities (during steals, etc.). There are features missing, like franchise and home run derby, but the developers made 100% sure that what they DID include was absolutely top notch.

On the field it seriously is one of the best playing games out there. It needs a few tweaks, like generally weaker hits (too many HRs and deep flies), better fly/grounder control, a smaller catch area for players, and more inaccuracy for pitchers.
