Tuesday = Wind Waker!!!! Anyone else getting it?

since a few people will most likely be getting the game today, I would like to invoke the OS friendly gamer rule - in other words, after you play for an hour or so, come back and give us some impressions.

If we know you are getting the game and you fail to post impressions we will take it that the game is just too kick *** to get pulled away from.

Alright quick thoughts on WW

Barely touched it. We had a brown out which last about 3 hours tonite. Decided to go and pick the game up anyways, for the first time in my life i had to stand in line 45 minutes to pick up a game. There were over 50 people of all ages going to pick this game up.

Finally got home and waited 2 hours for the lights to return. instead of turning this bad boy on, i went back to OOT. Why you ask? because i had just gotten the third stone from princess zora and was on my way to visit zelda when the lights went out ealier. I decided to redo what i hadnt saved and i was totally hooked. The whole thing going forward in time and the ganandorf thing was just super cool.

Ok 1 hour later, i popped WW in, at first they mention the story of the 'hero of time' and the great evil that has returned, then you basically are asleep and your sister comes to wake you up, gotta go find grandma; its your bday, etc. Moved around the island, everything looks real sharp. Cell shading does not hinder the game one iota. Practiced with some old dude some sword techniques, and it was pretty nice the way the graphics go with the sound. Definite pluses all around.

But after about 30 minutes of just messing around, i went back to OOT. I dont think i can get into WW without now finishin OOT

WW's controls are intuitive and you will feel right at home if your played OOT or majora's mask. You can actually crawl which is pretty cool. Again the graphics are vibrant and colorful, and the expressions on everyone's face is simply a joy

BUt

I must go back to OOT. It has just pulled me in now. I cant stop when i have a world to save.

Dammit. In any case, WW is great, go get it, you wont be disapointed.

Canadians are getting the shaft, EB won't start selling them until Wednesday morning even though they will recieve them on Tuesday. And reading all the impressions makes me want to play it even more. Arghhhh....................................... I want my Zelda!
