Re: FAT PRINCESS!!!!!

I played all day today. I mean all day. I had so much more fun with a mic, we got to get a bunch of people with mics. We were able to coordinate a bunch of things with just me, blzer, and some guy I don't know. Imagine if all 16 people had a mic...

I was with you guys too. I had my crappy PS3 eye toy hooked, I can't find the wire to recharge my bluetooth headset.

Re: FAT PRINCESS!!!!!

Yeah, it was tough when no one had a mic. The last game I played before you left whitesox, I had a score triple anybody else on the team. I just kept bombarding the gates and killing, going for the princess. No one else would coordinate but I was on a good tear. Somehow though I lost connection and we got kicked from our games. Too bad though, I would have racked up some good points. Heck, my rank was Warlock!

This game is just epic, but I may not be on the next two days. I definitely won't be on for the rest of tonight, that's for sure. If I don't get wireless on the beach for vacation I won't be on for a whole two weeks.

To break open the enemy gates, you simply have to destruct it. Some weapons are better than others and obviously more people is better than less people. But those big bombs are best. Just remember they can repair the gates as long as they have workers and they have compiled wood.

Speaking of the worker to answer your second question, when you have an upgrade readily available (a green downward arrow will be above something), hold onto L1 and hold onto Square. Your player will start building. However, wood and stones are required for everything to be built.

Re: FAT PRINCESS!!!!!

I think you were a Warloard, not Warlock, but that could have changed.

I am not very good at getting lots and lots of points, but I do like to consider myself a good team player. I might have to practice a bit more. It was wierd though, Before we played today, I had not won an online game. Then we won like 4 out of 5. The mic really makes a difference, and I encourage everyone to buy one.

It doesn't have to be an expensive one, but even a little bluetooth earpiece will work. My headset died in a game with Blzer, lets hope I can find the cable!

Re: FAT PRINCESS!!!!!

So what's everyone's favorite class so far? Mine is the worker because I enjoy doing things that can benefit the whole team. Upgrading the worker itself also leads to getting those huge bombs that can wipe out about a half-screen worth (friend and foe alike!).

For pure combat I think I like the warrior - it's basic class is very useful even after you get it upgraded (the shield - it blocks more than arrows ). And it turns into a death machine when you do get it upgraded, though you give up the defense.

Couple of little tidbits I've noticed so far (the instructions are ok, but they don't tell everything:

First and foremost - standing still will recover your life. If you're hurt, just don't move and your guy will plop down and recover his health within a few seconds. Obviously if you're worried about getting attacked you can head for an outpost or the inside of you're castle walls, because you are defenseless for a few seconds if you try to get up in a hurry.

In games with AI players, you can get 3 of them to follow you around and cover you (if it's a priest, he'll probably heal you, too). They aren't the sharpest tools in the shed though - so don't expect them to do everything. Press up on the D-pad to call one of them over and down to let one go, again you can have 3 at a time.

Along with being the only class that can build, workers also seem (IMO) to be the best at destroying objects. Not only is the axe quick, it seems to do a good deal of structure damage, so they're great to have in a gate-storming group. Then there's that bomb...

I do have one question - what triggers the kings's message "Help! We're being ganked!!" Is it a base attack or something else, because I know there's one specifically mentioning that (and if you know internet lingo, it's hilarious ). Also, there's actually a statistic for "times ganked", so I'm just not sure what the context is in this game.

Loving this game, just wish I wasn't having so many problems connecting to a game. It just launched though, so I'll be patient.

Warlord/Warlock, whatever haha.

Yeah, honestly I don't go for the points, but I find my actions leading me to a lot of points. I'm just trying to get us the best defense possible, or setting up for the best offense (upgrades). I like to get a lot of logs so I can always mend gates and whirlpools whenever possible, and I'm big on maintaining outpost control for that very reason.

This game is very fun, though. Requires a lot of teamwork, otherwise you normally see yourself on the losing end.

To be Ganked someone has to kill one of your teamates in your base. And then after that he says "They're in our Base! Killing our dudes!"

I've come to realize, the developers for this game have some sense of humor.

Re: FAT PRINCESS!!!!!

Just got through with an awesome game with nearly all humans. Our team (Red) looked like it was cooked for sure because the other had both princesses, but we were able to somehow sneak theirs out of their castle with their own catapult! When we had Blue princess back in the dungeon, I went crazy on the cake gathering, and I'm pretty sure it was the big difference in the endgame. They didn't feed our Red Princess, so we had a relatively easy time rescuing her while they couldn't budge Blue. I didn't lead the charge, but I picked the Red princess up after the first carrier got killed and ran her back to the castle for the comeback victory!
