We got two teams of three in set order passing it to start of the phase and then try two orbs to damage him after everyone has had it. Sometimes we could only get one orb. Never seemed to go right.

You're doing it a hard way. If you do it at the end, there are a ton of cursed thrall and the timing is hard to get. We always number 1 through 6, odds on left, evens on right. On #1 we drop the orb and do damage as always, and at 10 seconds, #2 jumps out to get ready to take the gaze. We then pass is amongst ourselves, shooting the thrall when you're turn is done. At #5, we weaken the second bubble, drop it, and do as much damage as you can, making sure to get out if it gets too dicey. Each run will tyoicallu take between 40-50% of his health. Haven't done it in two turns yet, but we've gotten really close.

It's not much harder than traditional 1 orb that way. Just make sure people are grabbing gaze with a sniper, and not trying to get cute and use their primary. And that second orb should be considered bonus damage. As soon as things get even a little dicey, get out of there.

Hit rank 5 on IB for the first time today, got a 320 machine gun out of it with army of one and guerilla fighter. Pretty happy with that. Should hit 5 on my Warlock pretty quick too.

That's fine, but if it's a player not experienced in grabbing the gaze, I want them using their sniper. Experienced players can do whatever they've got to do.

EL OH EL....I planned to do a quick 10-15 match grind session for IB rank today. Not so much. I really wish we could just cut hackers fingers off after they are caught. Harsh, yes sure. But **** em.

I'm going to start this post off by saying most people have already made up their mind on Destiny's "competitive" multiplayer, so if you're going to get offended by my post feel free to move on down the road. lol

That said, against my better judgement I played enough IB the past two days to hit rank 5(mostly, I think I've lost 9 of my last 10 games while needing just one more win).

I'll mostly pass over the usual stuff, like horrible lag that benefits the player with a poor connection(great design) and matchmaking that seems to place me against full teams the majority of the time(I'm not sure if the game is taking more into account than connection when matchmaking, but it sure does feel like it. I play against so many people who clearly aren't living anywhere near me).

The two main thoughts I had while playing IB were: Are these really the same people who made Halo, or is it a new staff under the same banner? I find it really hard to believe the same people who made Halo 1 through Halo Reach would be pleased with Destiny's PvP.

The other thought I had was "Why do I still play this game?" and that led me to the conclusion that I should stop. Unless meaningful content is added to the game(which seems unlikely) I'm pretty much done until Destiny 2.

My review of destiny after playing it on and off for over a year is pretty straightforward. The PvE side is awesome until you run out of content to do, and since the game is so content light, that doesn't take long. The PvP side is awful. Everyone that reads this, do yourself a favor and never play PvP again. Take my advice and find a new game, thats what I'm going to do.
