The weapon you get from beating the game is pretty good for pvp. Shotguns are good too for close range encounters. But since the weapon damage models are all even for pvp the weapon level or damage it does becomes irrelevant. You can do great with a level 8 rifle, it won't matter.

What does matter is rate of fire and weapon stability. Try to get an auto rifle that has both qualities. The best two I've seen are the Shingen C and the Shingen E. The E being the better of the two (insane stability). There are faster rof auto rifles out there but they lack stability like the two I mentioned.

Level it up for the upgrades on the weapon (they do apply in pvp). I have a blue level 14 Shingen E and it shoots pretty fast and is extremely stable.

Hope that helps some of you struggling in pvp.

Re: Destiny

The crucible is kind of a let down for me. I enjoyed the beta for the most part, but the full version has so much cheese and shotgun usage. No variety.

What do you mean by the weapon damage models being the same?

My two favorite games are Destiny and BF4, both games with huge flaws and weaknesses.
Both which is heavily reliant on MP.

What part confuses you?

I'll try to explain it more clearly. Armor, weapons are equal in pvp, only thing that separates players are abilities & skills. All gear is equal, guys that are hard to kill sometimes is because of higher level abilities, those you get to bring with you to pvp. But a level 6 rifle and a level 20 make no difference. Minus the upgrade tree you get on higher weapons, those do count.

Yup, MP is why they're so good.

Single player is pretty bad in both.

Re: Destiny

One thing that has always annoyed the hell out of me in online shooters are the guys who run around and continously bounce and jump all over the place. I know that this game uses the jump as a key ability depending on which class you are, that's fine. But when an online match turns in to relentless game of skeet shooting, that's a bit ridiculous!

(Rant almost over LOL)

My gripe dates back many years playing FPS's online, and the never ending bunny hopping..... Looks stupid, lmao

So the Defense ratings on armor and Impact ratings on weapons don't have any impact?

Why does it take so many more shots to kill a higher level player then? When I was first starting out, I could sneak up behind a level 22 guy and put an entire round squarely into his back and he'd just turn around and kill me in one shot and he'd still almost be at full health, but that isn't nearly the case anymore now that I'm at a higher level and have better guns and armor.

And what about armor that has a +44 strength or intellect or something like that? Does that matter at all online, or can I pretty much just wear whatever armor I think looks the best?
